Using Sudo Swap To Trade NFT’s

Hello everyone. I am creating this guide to help those using https://sudoswap.xyz/ for peer to peer NFT trading.

I wanted to trade my ThorGuard with another user in the ThorGuards community, but we werent sure what the best way to do that was. We settled on using Sudo Swap and it worked great.

There are however some nuances, so I thought a guide could help the community out for those stuck

Step 1: Connect your wallet to https://sudoswap.xyz/

You will see an option in the upper right hand corner of the webpage to connect your wallet. I’m using XDEFI wallet

Step 2: Select Add Assets

Under have click the button to add your assets

Step 3: Select Your NFT’s You Wish to Trade

Click on the NFT(s) you wish to trade. Once selected you can hit “add 1 NFT” at the bottom of the screen

Step 4: Approve Your NFT For Transaction

  • Note: Make 100% certain this is the NFT you are wanting to send. You will be charged gas fees for approving your NFT to be sent

Once you hit approve, a transaction will show up in your wallet. Approve it and pay the gas fee. Gas fee was only around $30 for me. Once it has been approved and transaction goes through, it will now indicate that your NFT has been approved for swapping

Step 5: Select The NFT You Want To Trade FOR

This is where things got a bit tricky. The ThorGuards collection was not on the main page when I went to add assets that I wanted. No worries, you can manually add this info. Note that you will need info from OpenSea to find the NFT you want. Make sure to get the Asset Address and ID from Opensea, as pictured below

  • Go to Form
  • Change Asset Type to ERC 721
  • Input Contract Address FROM OPENSEA
  • Input ID FROM OPENSEA

Step 6: Create Swap Link And Send To Trading Partner

Verify that the ThorGuard that now shows up under the want section is the right one. If your NFT has been approved, you will be able to select create swap at the bottom of the page. You will have to approve another transaction, but there is no fee for this. Once the link is created, send to your trading partner where they will be able to approve their side of the transaction and complete the trade!

This seems to be the best current option for those wanting to trade their ThorGuard for another Thorguard. I personally did not want to sell mine, but wanted one with a THORChain ecosystem partner! Hopefully this helps those looking to do something similar
